Hi, my name is Roisin.

I officially started on my doula journey in 2016 after realising that I spent lots of my spare time supporting families local to me transition from pregnancy through the days of new parenthood, and that it felt like a really positive way to spend my time. I did my doula training with Developing Doulas in Cambridge.

Previously, my career has been based around supporting vulnerable people, including 10 years working within the D/deaf community, whilst my interests have always involved women’s rights, birth rights, breastfeeding and parenting. I am so lucky now to be able to combine the two and to empower birthing couples as they journey through their pregnancies, supporting them through labour and the early days of new parenting.

I am a mother of 3 and have had different birthing experiences every time, including waterbirths, homebirth and a c-section.

Since 2011, with the birth of my first child I have practiced attachment parenting and through this I have gone on to become a baby wearing peer supporter. I have slings that you may borrow once your baby is born.

I have a birth pool which is free for clients to use, and a range of books which you can access throughout your pregnancy.

My birth doula package costs £650, though I am always open to payment plans, reduced rates and other forms of payment (skill swaps, etc). I am also available for last minute doula services, at a reduced rate.

Additional skills and services:

Level 6 British Sign Language

Placenta Encapsulation Specialist (trained with IPEN/Ruth Willis June 2018)

MAM 3 Step Rewind Technique (trained with Mark Harris June 2018)
