Hello, I’m Jo Booth. I’m a mother of two originally from Suffolk now based in Teesside. I’m a mentored postnatal doula covering Teesside, Darlington and North Yorkshire.  My fees are £12 per hour plus 45p per mile beyond two miles from my home in Stockton. Fees should not be a barrier to my supporting you, we can often find a ‘work around’ which suits both of us.

I am also a qualified antenatal practitioner (University of Bedfordshire 2012) and have, for the past few years, been facilitating NCT antenatal classes in Teesside. I also hold a PGCE in Adult Education (Anglia Ruskin University 2004) and a degree in Social Anthropology (University of Manchester 1998).

I have experience in working with young offenders and teenagers with learning difficulties.

I feel that my experience and skills are particularly helpful for those who have/have had/are:

* previous birth trauma
* giving birth via elective (planned) caesarean
* recovering from a complicated birth
* lone parents
* offenders
* anxiety disorders
* disabilities

My role is to support, guide and nurture you. Your role is to rest, recover and revive; to be ready for your new family life.

Please have a look at my website for more information. You can also find me on Facebook or I can be contacted on 07787 371853 if you would like to have a chat about how I may be able to support you.
